My latest project is to use up some sheer, sparkly spider web fabric I bought ages ago but never knew what to do with. The skirt is going to be gathered to an empire waist, it's about knee length, and it will have straps, but I'm planning on wearing it over a blouse, probably a white one. I'm not using a pattern, so I'm just winging the top half, which I'm still experimenting with. I originally planned on gathering it vertically down the front, but I didn't like how that turned out, so I'm going to do something simpler with the fabric I have left. I still have enough left that I can make one or two more tries before I have to use something more forgiving like stretch velvet for the top.
